CUSTOMER SERVICE TERMS

Defined scope. Defined authorization.

Effective: October 3, 2026

A public price buys only the service described for that price. Payment does not grant access to GS&D internal systems, proprietary methods, source code, private records, or unrelated work.

Online services

$25 Open a Gauge File creates a customer case record; diagnosis is not included. $250 Online Diagnostic Direction provides remote review and written diagnostic direction based on information supplied by the customer. It is not a guarantee that a particular component is defective or that a particular repair will resolve the condition. Additional measurements, inspection, disassembly or manufacturer procedures may be required.

Fleet, systems and field work

Fleet/system engagements and field service require an accepted written scope. The scope controls the authorized work, price or service block, service area, travel assumptions and included deliverables. Work outside that scope requires additional authorization.

Customer responsibilities

The customer must provide materially accurate information, disclose known hazards and prior work, have lawful authority over the asset/property, provide reasonable access when field work is authorized, and identify a person authorized to approve scope and cost.

Safety and manufacturer information

Diagnostic direction does not replace applicable manufacturer service information, warnings, recalls, regulations, permits, or competent hands-on inspection. Customers remain responsible for deciding whether they are qualified and equipped to perform a suggested check or repair.

Parts and outside costs

Parts, materials, extraordinary travel, subcontractors, taxes, permits and third-party charges are separate unless expressly included in writing. GS&D will not silently expand a customer’s authorized scope.

Records

GS&D may maintain records reasonably related to intake, authorization, payment, findings, communications, work performed and closeout. Public customer information is handled under the privacy notice.

Stopping work

GS&D may pause work when required information, safe access, authorization or payment is missing, or when conditions materially differ from the accepted scope. A pause is not authorization for additional charges.
